Jason is the perfectionist in this relationship. He won't finish a project until he's decided it's 100% done to his satisfaction and that means many hours of coming up with and trashing lots of ideas that just aren't quite up to par. Hell, he'll boot me out of the house if he has a project he's really psyched about working on and stays up all hours of the night to get his idea down (so he doesn't forget it the next morning). Jason's attention to detail and the perfection that ties it all together allows him a certain amount of cockiness (the extra cockiness is free of charge). Jason's work speaks for itself but where's the fun in that when you can also boast about it? We'll be driving around the Tyson's Corner area and Jason will point at various tall buildings saying, "I designed that logo."
Jason is a nerd for typography. He'll show me a billboard or a sign that has his #3 favorite font on it or point to another sign and tell me why that certain font doesn't work with the advertising and the font that would work with it.Jason is rambunctious, hard working, and god damned creative.
Jason works best when you give him some free reign, let him listen to music in excess of 130bpm rather loudly over his desk top speakers, and give him an obscure desk plant to name ³Dupont². He will get the job done before the deadline and surprise you with a design you didn't even know you wanted.

Kate is a perfectionist when pushed and it's a good thing because I like to push her. She's just one of those gals who has a great eye right out of the box and when she isn't happy with her work, she pouts, throws a fit with herself and then does what it takes to get it perfect. I used to call her narcissistic for years due to her constant practicing with self portraits but now that I think about it, it was all practice for the future. When we go on shoots, I am 100% set to ease knowing that as long as I have her along for the ride, we will always get "that shot". (Usually it's her that "gets it"!)
She gets excited if a new flash hits the market. Like way excited. I think that separates the part-time shutter-bug from the serious professional. She also makes me stop when we are walking somewhere to look at the cool dilapidated building and mentions how fun it would be to shoot.
She is kind, yet stern and art directs subjects like they have been her friends for years. She is professional when it counts and is inviting and fun 24/7. Just the perfect mix when you want to have your product or event captured forever just the way you had pictured it in your head.
